1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device. They can remember a login session, a theme choice or the last track in your player.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary to provide the service you requested. Blocking them may prevent sign-in, checkout or theme persistence.

• Session cookie: keeps you signed in and protects authenticated actions. It is httpOnly and expires when the session ends or after its configured lifetime.
• Theme cookie: remembers whether you chose light, dark or system appearance.
• Security and rate-limit data: helps prevent abuse, fraud and automated attacks.

3. Browser local storage

• Player state: the current queue, position, volume, shuffle and repeat settings so playback can resume.
• First-visit nudge: remembers that you have seen the introduction to the marketing page.
• No advertising identifier is created or stored.

4. Third-party cookies

When you choose MTN MoMo or Airtel Money, you may be taken to a provider page or prompted in the provider's app. Those providers may set their own cookies or use device identifiers under their privacy policies. Mpabeat does not control those cookies.

We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social pixels or cross-site trackers in the player.

5. Analytics and advertising

Mpabeat currently uses first-party server logs and aggregate play/download counts. We do not run third-party behavioural advertising or sell personal data.

If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required before setting them.

6. How to control cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. You can also clear local storage. Blocking essential cookies may sign you out or stop checkout from working.

On mobile, use your browser's privacy controls or the operating system's app permissions. Clearing site data removes the saved player queue and theme choice.
